| Reverse description | The reverse features a highly detailed rendition of the 'Hand of Faith' gold nugget, discovered in Victoria, Australia in 1980 and the largest gold nugget found by a metal detector, depicted in high relief at the centre of a radiating sunburst pattern with alternating long and short rays rendered in a rose-gold coloured selectively applied finish. The numeral '35' appears above the nugget, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Australian Nugget series. The inscription 'HAND OF FAITH 1980' is engraved below the nugget in the field. The circular legend 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/2 OZ FINE GOLD' arcs around the upper and right periphery, with the date '2021' and the Perth Mint 'P' mintmark positioned along the lower border, all framed by a beaded inner circle. |
