| Obverse description | Struck in proof quality, the obverse bears the third-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as modelled by Raphael Maklouf, wearing the George IV State Diadem, a drop earring, and a pearl necklace. The truncation of the bust is clearly defined, with the engraver's initials RDM incuse below.
