Obverse description Central gilt inner disc featuring a finely detailed high-relief effigy of the Bauhinia blakeana (Hong Kong Orchid Tree) flower in bloom, with prominently rendered petals and stem rendered in gold-plated relief against the polished field. The outer silver ring bears the bilingual legend '香港' in Chinese characters at the upper arc and 'HONG KONG' in Latin letters along the lower arc.
