| Additional information |
The Moon Phases series has been one of the Royal Canadian Mint's more technically demanding annual programs, requiring precise application of black rhodium over polished silver to delineate the shadowed lunar portions without bleeding into the mirrored fields. The process demands selective electroplating at tolerances that purely struck coins do not require.
KM#3610 marks the first issue in the series under Charles III's effigy following the transition from Elizabeth II coinage in 2023.
