Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Public Seal of Niue prominently displayed in the upper left quadrant, enclosed within a decorative wreath and surmounted by a royal crown. The seal bears the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE around its circumference, with the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI on a scroll below, accompanied by two crossed paddles. The field is divided diagonally into polished and matte sections, creating a striking two-tone contrast. The right and lower portions of the field are filled with intricate traditional Niuean ornamental motifs and geometric patterns. The denomination 50 DOLLARS and the date 2023 appear along the lower and right periphery respectively.

Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed, naturalistic depiction of a golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) in dynamic flight, wings fully spread and talons extended, launching from a rocky outcrop in the lower field. The composition is rendered with fine sculptural relief against a two-tone mirror and matte field divided by a curved line. The legend 1 OZ SLOVAKIA arcs along the upper periphery, while AU 999.9 appears on the right side. The Czech Mint mark (CM) and the Royal Mint mark appear to the right, and the engraver's initials MD are visible in the lower left field.
