Reverse description A bold, close-up portrait of the crowned Czech Lion rendered in high sculptural relief, occupying the majority of the field. The lion, the traditional heraldic symbol of Bohemia, is depicted facing left with its open maw and detailed mane, wearing a jewelled crown atop its head. A stylised chevron or zigzag compositional element divides the background field, with a partial eagle motif visible to the right, referencing the Moravian heraldic eagle. The inscription 'ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA' is incused to the left of the design, the Czech Mint mark appears at lower left, and the fineness and weight notation '1 oz Au 999.9' is inscribed along the lower right periphery.
