Obverse description The central vignette presents a rice harvesting scene with agricultural labourers working in the fields, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. Above the vignette, the coat of arms of Great Britain supported by lions is positioned at the upper centre, while the bank title and denomination are inscribed across the note in bold letterpress. Reverse description The central vignette presents a classical building in perspective, flanked by a tree to the left and a palm tree to the right. The bank title and denomination appear in bold letterpress across the note.
