| Obverse description | The national arms of Nauru occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a traditional dwelling and a frigatebird in the upper quarters, and a phosphate mining symbol with tropical flowers in the lower quarters, all surmounted by a scroll inscribed NAOERO and flanked by two frigate bird feathers. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto GODS WILL FIRST. The circular legend BANK OF NAURU arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 1994 in large numerals at the base. |
