Reverse description
A single sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaf is the focal point of this design by Canadian artist Matt Eggink. Against a laser-engraved relief pattern, the maple leaf`s multiple engraved facets are individually plated with either yellow or rose gold for high contrast and visual appeal. Ten more geometric shapes—one for each Canadian maple species—form a partial frame, while a special privy mark denotes the 25th anniversary (1996-2021) of the maple`s designation as the official national arboreal emblem of Canada.
