Reverse description
Inspired by the Liberty bronze figure on the National War Memorial in Ottawa, Ontario, the coin’s double-sided features a gold-plated 3D allegorical figure of Freedom cast in 99.99% pure silver. Riding on the back of a mythical bird that carries Freedom wherever she is needed, the figure holds a torch high to light the way forward. The allegory is set in the antiqued rim (also 99.99% silver), while on the coin’s outer rim, a scroll is paired with olive branches and maples leaves signifying Canada’s contributions to peace and freedom
