Reverse description Central design features the official logo of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), comprising an interlaced knot motif set within a geometric grid of concentric squares and overlapping circles, all rendered in polished relief against a mirror field. The Arabic legend 'الذكرى العاشرة لتأسيس سوق دبي المالي' arcs around the upper periphery, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Dubai Financial Market. The lower border bears the bilingual inscriptions '2000 to 2010' and 'DFM 10th Anniversary' in Latin script, framing the commemorative theme of the issue.

Additional information

Issued to mark the inauguration of the Dubai Financial Market as a regulated securities exchange, this piece reflects the UAE's early-2000s push to formalize capital markets that had previously operated with limited regulatory oversight. The DFM had been established in 2000 but spent much of its first decade building the legal and institutional infrastructure that warranted commemorative recognition by the central bank.

KM# 89 is not a particularly scarce strike, but surviving examples in original packaging tend to grade sharply given the near-total absence of circulation.
