Obverse description Portrait of King Hassan II in three-quarter view to the right, wearing a suit and tie, set against a vignette of a coastal Moroccan medina with a watchtower and harbour. The bank title in Arabic script appears at top centre within a guilloche border, with the denomination rendered in Arabic lettering at lower centre. The dual date 1965-1385 appears in the lower middle field, with serial number and series prefix positioned at upper right and lower left.

Reverse description A large circular vignette at left depicts miners at work with pneumatic drills and hand tools in intaglio style, rendered with fine engraved detail. To the right, an industrial crane and mining excavation scene extend across the note in a landscape composition. The French bank title 'BANQUE DU MAROC' is inscribed at top centre, with the denomination 'CINQUANTE DIRHAMS' in letterpress below the central design, and a cautionary anti-counterfeiting legend in French at lower right.
