| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of Andorra occupies the central field, depicting in the first quarter the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, in the second the four vertical bars of Catalonia (Aragon), in the third again the four bars, and in the fourth two bulls passant representing the Count of Foix. The motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR appears on a scroll beneath the shield. The date 1965 is divided to either side of the shield, flanked by ornate foliate scrollwork. The peripheral legend reads ANDORRA above and 50 DINERS below, with the numeral 50 repeated to each side, all separated by raised dots within a beaded border. |
