Obverse description The Tunisian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with scales of justice and a lion passant, surmounted by a Tunisian galley and flanked by decorative foliage, with a crescent and star emblem above. The Latin legend RÉPUBLIQUE TUNISIENNE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 DINARS is inscribed in bold relief along the lower rim. Ornamental rosette devices flank the denomination on either side, adding decorative framing to the lower field. The design is rendered in high relief with a deeply mirrored proof field, characteristic of non-circulating commemorative gold coinage.
