| Reverse description | Large bold numeral '50' dominates the upper field, with the legend CRUZEIROS inscribed below in a curved arrangement. The mint year 1965 appears beneath the denomination. A naturalistic coffee branch bearing leaves, berries, and a bud sweeps from the lower left to the right side of the field, framing the date and adding an emblematic reference to Brazil's principal agricultural export. |

| Additional information |
The 1965 cruzeiro series was issued during one of the most turbulent monetary periods in Brazilian history. The military government that had seized power in April 1964 inherited an inflation rate approaching 90% annually, and the cruzeiro itself would be replaced entirely by the cruzeiro novo in 1967 — at a conversion rate of 1,000 to 1 — rendering this denomination effectively obsolete within two years of striking.
