Kłodzko Land — the Kotlina Kłodzka — spent centuries as a distinct administrative unit under Bohemian, then Habsburg, then Prussian control before being transferred to Poland following the post-1945 border reorganization that expelled its German-speaking population and resettled the region with Poles from the former Kresy territories. The county's geographic isolation, ringed by the Sudeten ranges, gave it an almost self-contained history entirely separate from the Polish lowland experience.
This is the fourth release in NBP's ongoing regional series honoring Poland's historical lands, struck in silver-plated cupro-nickel rather than the fine silver used for the collector-grade parallel issues.
