| Obverse description | Portrait of Pedro Joaquín Chamorro at right, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint in shades of violet and green. The large numeral '50' vignette occupies the centre-left, with the denomination legend 'CINCUENTA CORDOBAS' inscribed below in a dark band.
