Reverse description Central field bears the denomination 50 CENTS in two lines in bold Roman lettering, with the date below, all framed by a wreath of maple branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. A St. Edward's Crown surmounts the wreath at the top of the design. The mint mark H, where applicable, appears at the bottom of the coin just below the wreath knot, above the toothed border that encircles the entire reverse.
