Additional information

Iliesa Delana won Fiji's first-ever Paralympic gold medal at the London 2012 Games in the F52 discus throw, and this coin was issued the following year as part of a commemorative series honoring that achievement. Fiji had competed at the Paralympics since 1996, making the wait for a gold unusually long relative to the country's Olympic history.
