Obverse description Oval vignette at left with a facing portrait of King George VI in military uniform, set against a guilloche border. The denomination '50c' appears in each corner, with the central text panel carrying the issuer name and legal tender clause in letterpress. A manuscript signature of the Governor and a printed date appear at the lower centre, with serial number and prefix repeated twice.
