Obverse description Portrait of King George VI in military uniform at right, rendered in intaglio within a fine guilloche border. The coat of arms of Mauritius appears as a vignette at left, flanked by guilloche underprint in the note's characteristic carmine-brown colour. The denomination 'FIFTY CENTS' is printed in large letterpress across the centre, with the serial number and two manuscript signatures of the Commissioners of Currency appearing in the lower portion.

Reverse description The reverse repeats the central design format of the obverse, with the coat of arms of Mauritius at left and the intaglio portrait of King George VI at right, separated by the central denomination panel. The overall layout and colour scheme mirror the face of the note, printed in the same carmine-brown tone with guilloche patterning throughout. No date or serial number appears on the reverse.
