| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing crossed tools and a sailing ship, flanked by two mestizo supporters, with a mahogany tree rising behind the shield. The entire device is encircled by a wreath of olive branches. The country name BELIZE arcs along the upper legend, the date 1984 appears in the lower field, and the motto SUB UMBRA FLOREO is inscribed on a scroll at the base of the arms. A beaded border runs along the inner rim. |
