| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, featuring a shield quartered with crossed tools and a sailing ship, surmounted by a mahogany tree, and supported by two woodcutters standing at either side. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto SUB UMBRA FLOREO. The entire arms device is encircled by an open laurel wreath.
