Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS IRB 50 CENTS
Reverse description A richly decorated pig, its body adorned with floral and coin motifs symbolising prosperity, stands before a traditional Chinese palatial pavilion set beneath an ornate cloud-scroll sky. Fruit-laden branches — bearing tangerines symbolic of good fortune — frame the composition to the left and right. A treasure chest overflowing with gold coins and ingots lies at the pig's feet. The date 2019 appears to the right of centre, accompanied by a seal-script Chinese character (福, meaning happiness/good fortune) within a square cartouche. The entire design is enclosed by a decorative border of interlocking coin-ring motifs.
Reverse script Chinese (traditional, seal script)
