| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted with a tiara and draped neckline in a refined, realistic style. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim and NIUE ISLAND along the upper right, both in raised Latin capitals against a polished field. The denomination 50 CENTS and the date 2015 appear in the lower exergual area, flanked by two raised dot stops.
