| Reverse description | A fully colorized depiction of a red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) seated upright on a branch, rendered in naturalistic tones of russet and cream, clutching an acorn in its forepaws. The bushy tail curves gracefully upward behind the animal, and delicate pink blossoms with green foliage adorn the right side of the field. The inscription RED SQUIRREL appears along the upper periphery in Latin lettering, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark is visible to the left. The reverse also carries the legend 1/2 OZ 999 SILVER in small characters near the upper right, attesting to the coin's silver content. |
