Reverse description Two overlapping maple leaves rendered in high relief occupy the centre of the rectangular field, depicting the iconic Canadian national symbol in fine detail with clearly defined veining and lobed edges. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper border, with the date 2018 positioned to the right below it. The lower portion of the field bears the inscriptions 1/10 oz and 9999 Ag, confirming the weight and purity of the pure silver bullion piece.

Additional information

The "Flex Bar" format — a small, serialized silver bar packaged to bend slightly without breaking — was the Royal Canadian Mint's attempt to push fractional silver into retail gift markets rather than traditional numismatic channels. These pieces circulate through souvenir shops and airport boutiques more than dealer cases. The 50-cent face value is nominal; no one has ever tendered one at a cash register.

Struck in four-nines fine silver, each bar carries an individual serial number, which the RCM has used across several of its small-format bullion gift products since the mid-2010s.
