Reverse description The reverse features a lenticular lens insert that produces two alternating scenes depending on the angle of viewing, a technique applied to the central image field. In the first orientation, a winter nocturnal landscape is depicted in cool blue and violet hues, showing softly falling snowflakes descending upon a snow-covered forest, with a prominent central evergreen tree flanked by two smaller conifers beneath a luminous moon. When the coin is tilted, the lenticular technology transitions the scene to a warm domestic interior rendered in vivid red, green, and yellow: the same central tree is now a decorated Christmas tree crowned with a glowing star-shaped topper, with two young girls adding the final ornaments while neatly wrapped gifts rest at their feet. The reverse legend CANADA 50 CENTS 2014 is inscribed within the surrounding field.
