| Reverse description | The reverse features the colourised royal cypher of Queen Elizabeth II — the interlaced cipher E II R surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown rendered in polychrome colour — at the centre of the design. A wreath of Canadian maple leaves in autumnal hues of green, orange, and red frames the cipher on either side. Below the cipher, the numeral 60 appears within a stylised diamond-shaped cartouche, commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen's accession. The legend CANADA arcs across the upper field, flanked by the regnal dates 1952 and 2012, while the denomination 50 CENTS is inscribed along the lower rim. |
