Reverse description A detailed commemorative composition marking the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Nui Le (1971), fought during the Vietnam War. The central scene depicts Australian soldiers loading a casualty onto a stretcher beside a UH-1 Iroquois 'Huey' helicopter in a jungle clearing, while a fixed-wing aircraft is visible in flight in the upper background. To the left, dense bamboo vegetation frames a soldier in cover, and to the lower right, two infantrymen are shown in a firing position amid tropical scrub. The large numeral '50' appears prominently in the upper left field. The legend THE BATTLE of NUI LE is inscribed in bold lettering across the lower portion of the field, and the serial number YS513857 is incused vertically along the upper right margin.
