Additional information

The VS Commodore, built from 1995 to 1997, was the last generation developed entirely under General Motors' pre-Reeves era management structure and marked Holden's final attempt to dominate the Bathurst 1000 before the sport's regulations shifted dramatically against the manufacturer in subsequent seasons. Its inclusion in the Royal Australian Mint's 60 Years of Supercars series reflects the model's genuine on-track record rather than nostalgia alone. Pad printing — an industrial process borrowed from promotional merchandise manufacturing — was used here to render color detail that conventional coin dies cannot achieve.
