| Obverse description | Crowned right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, with AUSTRALIA along the right periphery, and the denomination 50 CENTS positioned in the lower field. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the bust. The design is enclosed by a fine beaded border running the full circumference of the coin. |

| Reverse description | A robust pig rendered in high relief stands in profile facing right upon a bed of bamboo stalks, set within a traditional East Asian landscape featuring a pagoda and a wind-swept pine tree in the background. The Chinese character 猪 (Pig) is prominently displayed in the upper left field. The date 2007 is incised along the lower field, flanked by decorative curved bamboo motifs. The composition, engraved by Vladimir Gottwald, reflects the Chinese Lunar New Year artistic tradition celebrating the Year of the Pig. |
