| Additional information |
Part of a seven-coin Narnia series issued to coincide with the 2005 Disney/Walden Media film release, this piece arrived in New Zealand circulation over fifty years after C.S. Lewis first published The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 1950. The Royal New Zealand Mint produced the series in conjunction with the film's marketing rollout — a licensing arrangement that made these among the first New Zealand circulating commemoratives tied directly to a Hollywood production.
