| Additional information |
The "Brothers in Arms" release commemorates the centenary of some of the heaviest Australian casualties of the First World War, including the Somme and Fromelles campaigns of 1916 — Fromelles alone cost the Australian Imperial Force roughly 5,500 casualties in a single night. The pad-printing technique applied to the coin's surface was adopted by the Perth Mint in the 2010s to achieve photographic-quality color detail impossible through conventional enameling.
