Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted at approximately 64 years of age, wearing the George IV State Diadem, a necklace, and drop earrings, as sculpted by Dora de Pédery-Hunt for the third definitive Canadian portrait. The legend encircles the bust along the upper periphery, with the date appearing in the lower field flanking the truncation. The portrait presents a mature, dignified likeness rendered in high relief with fine detail in the diadem jewels and hair.
