| Reverse description | The reverse features a lenticular (3D) colored design by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, depicting four children in brightly colored winter attire crouching behind a snow fort constructed of tightly packed snow blocks, ready to launch snowballs at the viewer. An alert dog stands in the foreground with its gaze directed outward, while a red snow shovel rests to the right of the fort. When the coin is tilted, the lenticular effect animates the scene: the children's arms extend outward, snowballs appear to fly toward the viewer, and the dog leaps from behind the fort. The inscription CANADA 50 CENTS 2018 is rendered in the lower portion of the reverse field. The design evokes a vivid sense of childhood winter play through the interplay of primary colors and dynamic lenticular animation. |
