| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of King Edward VII, draped in ermine-trimmed robes with a decorative clasp at the chest, engraved by George William de Saulles whose initials 'G.E.S.' appear at the bottom of the field. The king wears the Imperial State Crown rendered in fine relief. The circular legend EDWARDVS VII DEI GRATIA REX IMPERATOR runs along the periphery, and the design is bordered by a fine dentilated rim. |
