Obverse description Right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III, modelled by designer DT (Dominique Tache), occupying the central field. The portrait depicts the King in civilian dress with fine detail to the facial features and hair. The circumferential legend reads 'CHARLES III · 2025 · SOLOMON ISLANDS' around the upper arc, with the denomination '· 50 CENTS ·' positioned along the lower arc. The designer's initials 'DT' appear in small relief to the lower right of the portrait. The gold-plated finish gives the obverse a rich, lustrous appearance.

Additional information

The Solomon Islands have no meaningful historical connection to the Vietnam War, which makes this a purely commercial commemorative — one of dozens issued annually by Pacific micro-states whose mint rights are licensed to private firms targeting the collector market. The underlying iron core plated in .999 gold is standard practice for this segment, keeping production costs low while allowing "gold" to appear in marketing copy.
