The Solomon Islands has issued commemorative coinage referencing the Unknown Soldier concept, though the tradition itself is distinctly associated with other Commonwealth nations — most notably Australia, whose Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra was interred in 1993 with remains repatriated from the Western Front. The connection to Solomon Islands is less immediate, given that the archipelago's own WWII history centers on named campaigns — Guadalcanal chief among them — rather than the anonymous burial traditions of European theatres.
