Pocahontas — properly Amonute, also known as Matoaka — died in Gravesend, England in 1617 at roughly 21 years of age, never having returned to the Tidewater Virginia she left behind. The Solomon Islands has no historical or geographic connection to her story; this is a purely commercial novelty issue aimed at thematic collector sets rather than any numismatic tradition worth tracing.
