| Obverse description | Right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field of this heptagonal coin, rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and facial features. The portrait, attributed to engraver Dominic Thomas and signed with the initials DT in the lower right of the effigy, is executed in a contemporary naturalistic style.
