| Obverse description | Right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field of the heptagonal flan, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and collar. The portrait is attributed to engraver Dominique Thiébaut, whose initials 'DT' appear in the lower right field. The legend 'CHARLES III' arcs along the left periphery, '2025' and 'SOLOMON ISLANDS' arc along the upper periphery, and '50 CENTS' is inscribed along the lower border, all separated by raised dot stops. The gold-plated surface imparts a warm, lustrous finish to the design. |

Gold-plated iron is an unusual choice for a commemorative of this type — most Pacific island commemoratives of recent decades have defaulted to cupro-nickel or silver. The Solomon Islands has issued a steady stream of thematic commemoratives through licensed distributors since the 1970s, the majority targeting collector markets rather than domestic circulation, and this piece follows that pattern precisely.
