| Additional information |
Benjamin Bunny appeared in Beatrix Potter's 1904 sequel to The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and the character has remained continuously in print since — one of the longest uninterrupted runs in children's publishing. The Solomon Islands has no particular connection to Potter's Lake District settings; the issuing authority here is effectively a licensing vehicle, a practice common among small Pacific sovereignties whose mints produce collector pieces with negligible domestic circulation.
Silver-plated iron, not silver coin.
