| Obverse description | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III in left-facing profile, depicted as a draped bust with fine detail to the hair and facial features. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left periphery, while AUSTRALIA and the date 2026 arc along the upper and lower right periphery respectively, all in raised Latin lettering. A small designer's initial mark appears beneath the truncation of the bust. The portrait represents the first effigy of Charles III adopted for Australian coinage. |
