| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of South Africa centrally positioned within the heptagonal-edged field. The arms display a shield supported by two human figures, surmounted by a secretary bird with wings displayed, and encircled by a wreath of wheat ears. The motto ribbon at the base of the shield bears the legend IKE E: IXARRA IKE in the Khoisan language. The date 2024 appears in the upper field, flanked by the bilingual country name legends AFORIKA BORWA to the left and AFRIKA BORWA to the right, arcing along the coin's periphery. The engraver's initials MIS appear at the lower centre of the field. |
