| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered with sailing vessels and a golden helm surmounted by a ship's wheel above, flanked by two supporting birds — an ibis to the left and a scarlet macaw to the right — both standing on a rocky base amid waves.
