Vallflorida is a small municipality in the Anoia comarca of Catalonia — the kind of settlement whose wartime scrip issue reflects the near-total collapse of small-denomination coinage in Republican-held Spain during 1937. With the central government and regional authorities both unable to supply sufficient fractional currency, hundreds of Catalan municipalities issued their own paper under emergency authorization from the Generalitat. This note is one of those local solutions.
Gràfiques Unificades was a Granollers-based printer working under collectivized management during the war years, responsible for a significant volume of municipal scrip across the region. Turró 2660 places this emission within the broader documented corpus of Catalan Civil War local issues.
