Pedro Martínez is a small municipality in Granada province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, its municipal council issued its own fractional paper currency when coin shortages made small change functionally impossible. The Consejo Municipal issues of this type were purely local instruments — accepted within the town, meaningless a few kilometers away.
The Gari Mon reference places this within the enormous body of Republican-zone emergency issues catalogued by that specialist work. Documentation on individual municipal issuers at this scale is often thin, and survival rates vary sharply; smaller poblaciones frequently printed short runs on whatever stock was available.
