Josep Llobet's bakery and provisions shop in Mura issued this token note during the Civil War years, when the near-total disappearance of small coinage from circulation forced individual tradespeople across Catalonia to print their own fractional scrip. Hundreds of local businesses, cooperatives, and municipalities did the same — Imprenta Rubiralta in Manresa supplied many of them, turning out small runs for clients across the Bages comarca.

Mura is a tiny mountain municipality; the village population in the 1930s was well under five hundred. Llobet's issue would have circulated among a tight, known community, making formal redemption largely a matter of trust rather than procedure.
