| Obverse description | Blue letterpress note with a guilloche-patterned underprint of wavy and geometric forms covering the entire field. The municipal coat of arms appears as a central vignette behind the denomination text. The issuing authority legend runs across the top, the bearer clause across the middle, and the large denomination inscription 'CINQUANTA CENTIMS' occupies the lower central area, with three manuscript signature lines beneath, identified by the titles L'Alcalde-President, El Depositari, and El Secretari Interventor. La Pobla de Lillet is a small Pyrenean municipality in the Berguedà comarca, and this note belongs to the vast wave of locally issued emergency fractional currency — moneda municipal — that flooded Catalonia from 1936 onward as the Civil War disrupted coin circulation and the Republican government struggled to maintain a functioning monetary supply at the village level. Hundreds of Catalan ajuntaments issued their own paper, most of it printed by whatever local press was still running.
Imprenta Barral printed this note in-town, which was not unusual for the series but does mean production quality varied with whatever stock the printer had on hand. Turró catalogues it as #1903.
